Background
Wingnut Films is the film production company formed by Peter Jackson.
Logo (December 8, 1989-)
Visuals: On a black background is an illustration of a naked man riding a dragonfly and holding a white flag with the words "WINGNUT FILMS" on it.
Variants:
- In the end credits of films up until King Kong, the logo is smaller and has copyright info in varying fonts below.
- On the video game Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie, the logo is colored and set against a white background with stars. Also it's off-centered. On the same game for Nintendo DS, the logo is much bigger and centered.
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: None or the end theme of the film.
Availability: Seen in the end credits of Peter Jackson's films since Meet the Feebles, namely Braindead (Dead Alive), The Frighteners, Forgotten Silver, Heavenly Creatures and King Kong. It was not used on The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
