1st Logo (1992-1993)
Logo: On a black background, lightning strikes, causing the 3-D bluish-purple
"WCW" name (in its corporate font) to appear. After this, the letters smoke as the name turns more violet before the logo fades out.
Variant: A version exists with copyright info appearing underneath, reading "©(YEAR) World Championship Wrestling, Inc. All Rights Reserved".
FX/SFX: The lightning strike, the name appearing and smoking.
Music/Sounds: Lightning strike and it echoing.
Availability: Rare. Appeared on WCW programming from the time such as WCW Worldwide. Can be seen on Halloween Havoc 1992.
2nd Logo (1999-2001)
Logo: On a black and blue background, a stylized star with some designs and the words "WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING" pans out from the under-right of it and rests in the middle of the screen. Blue lighting flashes underneath during the animation and glows around the finished product.
FX/SFX: The star, the lighting.
Music/Sounds: A quiet, eerie humming noise which calms down a bit at the end.
Availability: Seen on WCW programming and PPVs of the time-frame. The logo also makes a surprise appearance on the WWE '12 video game during the "Road to Wrestlemania: Hero Story" campaign level.
Final Note
WCW didn't have any real on-screen logos between this time as their shows frequently ended with the title of the show and copyright info underneath.
