Background

World Productions is a television production company founded on March 20, 1990 by Tony Garnett, originally as Island World Productions before renaming themselves to their current name in 1994. Five years later, on May 2017, ITV plc took over World Productions, making the latter a subsidiary of ITV Studios. Over the years, they have developed many critically acclaimed and successful shows including Line of Duty, The Bletchley Circle, Bodyguard, among others.
