Background

World Video Promotions is a Hmong dubbing company based in Fresno, California.

Logo (Unknown)

Visuals: On a black background, five stars in a white-gold colored pattern fly in and spin from the center right, flying downwards while their reflections can be seen underneath. The first star turns directions and flies towards the screen, in the process revealing a zooming starfield background. Then, an expanding, flashing star changes the shot over to a drawing of the Earth with the latitudes and longitudes intact. Four sparking lights on all four quadrants of the screen flash to unveil "WORLD VIDEO PROMOTIONS", in a stacked format, sharp comic style font, and a shadow facing downwards. The same flashing star effect from earlier removes the logo from view.

Technique: CGI and 2D computer animation.

Audio: First, there is a synth drone and synthesized zapping. The roar of a jet flying by plays for the flashing star. In between, there is an explosion for the four stars unveiling the text and then cold wind with an ominous ambient track playing.

Availability: The logo is seen on a Hmong dub of Shaolin Popeye 2.
