Background

Xbox Game Studios is a division of Microsoft established in March 2000, spun out from an internal games group, for the development and publishing of video games for Microsoft Windows. It later expanded to produce games for Xbox platforms and other Microsoft systems. It was originally known as Microsoft Games, Microsoft Game Studios, and Microsoft Studios.

Logo: On a black background, we see several Xbox games plastered on various letters of the text "XBOX GAME STUDIOS" in the Xbox corporate font, shown at various closeups and angles. When it gets to the first "S", everything zooms out and becomes flat. Once the text reaches a comfortable position, the X-Sphere fades in and everything shines.

Variants:

  • A shorter variant exists, where it starts when the text zooms out.
  • On Minecraft Dungeons, the 1st clip from the logo is replaced with gameplay from the game itself.
  • On Halo Infinite, the logo segues into the 343 Industries logo.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: A herotic fanfare.

Availability: Current.

  • It was first seen on a YouTube video.
  • It can be seen on most of the company's Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows games like Gears 5 and Minecraft Dungeons.
