Background
Yekaterinburg Art Home Video (also known as EA, EAHV and EA Cinema) was a Russian video distribution company based in Yekaterinburg and founded in 1991 by Evgeny Miropolsky. Originally, the main activity of the company was theatrical distribution until they became a home video distributor in 1994. The company has also owned a chain of retail stores that operated under the "Titanic Video Records" brand and two "Titanic Cinema" movie theaters. The company had an extensive catalog of video products, and it was considered to be one of the oldest and leading video distribution companies in Russia. In 2008, the company's founder (Evgeny Miropolsky) was accused of kidnapping his partner Andrei Aivazov, and he was sentenced to 10 years in a maximum security penal colony. On November 6, 2008, the company was liquidated.
