Background

The Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation (YTV, callsign JOIX-DTV) signed on August 28, 1958, by a number of investors, including the Yomiuri Shimbun, who spearheaded the creation of Japan's first commercial television station, the Tokyo-based Nippon Television five years prior. Based in Osaka, YTV serves as the NNN/NNS affiliate for the Kansai region and is one of the dual network's major contributors (alongside NTV), producing and/or distributing a number of programs.

Animated Logos

1st Logo (2001-2007)

Visuals: On a light blue background, there is a giant ring that spins as it briefly zooms out. Then, the 1958 YTV wordmark in blue appears, while the ring is put in place. After the logo is formed, the text "YOMIURI TELECASTING CORPORATION" appears before fading to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An aura-sounding tune with some deep-tones.

Availability: Seen on international prints of YTV titles, such as the Inuyasha films, including Affections Touching Across Time.

2nd Logo (2007-)

After traversing through the wormhole, the orb briefly zooms as the 2007 YTV wordmark is put in place as it briefly zooms out while the ball bounces.
