1st logo (1985-1990?)

Visuals: On a blue, sea green or dark violet background, there is a ancient ornament of the Yunnan emblem, then turns into a goose-like shape with filmstrip holes. It gets zoomed out after turning, then a three small triangle appears by three colors. A Chinese characters then appears by wiping (from left to right in center) and the "YMY" flies out of the Chinese characters unit. It flashes, and then turns to sunburst background on a brown or magenta background, the "YMY" and the Chinese text in blue and gold.

Technique: Unknown

Audio: A sounding melody fanfare with soothing wind.

Availability: Seen on several films made by Yunnan National Film Studio. Found on two films that like Jiang Pan San Bao Guo Ying Feng Dong and Tian Hai Mei Da Ge Nian.


2nd logo (1990-1994?)

Visuals: On a black background two roosters begin to connect into sun and then flashes, which then forms a sun-like roosters. The outline of the sun is in white rises from the orange planet, then zooms out, and followed by disappearing the white outline of the sun. We first see a red company name text in Chinese, which zooms with a trailing effect, followed by "KUNMING CHINA" which is in blue, but didn't zooms, and instead of the text in light blue pops up.

Technique: The twin roosters crashing, the sun forming, and the zooming.

Audio: A three-notes organ fanfare, then a 3-note trumpet and a 6-note oriented fanfare. Some films has the opening theme or a 4-notes fanfare, a cymbal crash and a 6-note drumbeat is heard.

Availability: Seen on some films made by the company. One example is Xiang Gang de ren Guang Xi.


3rd logo (1994)

Visuals: Over a red wooden background is the plain text in Chinese (like the previous logo) appears below. There is no animation, and the logo is still. The logo cuts to opening credits.

Technique: None.

Audio: The opening theme of the film.

Availability: It was debuted only on "金沙水拍" which can be found on YouTube.


4th logo (1995)

Visuals: Over a black background is the Chinese text "Yunnan National Film Studio" in white.

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: It was only appeared on one film.
