(Late 1980s-Mid 1990s)

Logo: On a black background, two red bolts of lightning collide in the center, forming a large yellow "Z" in a stencil font, which shines as white lights draw a box around it. The stacked chrome text "ZANE ENTERTAINMENT GROUP" appears below the boxed "Z", and the logo shines for a while.

Variants:

  • There is a version with the gold text "FEATURE PRESENTATION" crudely chryoned in at the bottom of the company name.
  • A blue version exists with more animation.
  • A prototype version also exists, ending the logo differently.

Technique: The lightning striking and the shining.

Music/Sounds: A loud thunderclap sound effect (taken from the BBC/Cinesound sound library) edited in with the flash, using a synth-rock fanfare.

Availability: Quite rare. It can possibly be seen on porn tapes from the time.
