Millennium Entertainment
Background
Millennium Entertainment was formed in 2010 by Nu Image Films as a distribution unit for its Millennium Films subsidiary, as well as the successor to First Look Studios. In 2014, it was spun-off from Nu Image and renamed Alchemy.
Logo (February 2011-2015)
Visuals: On a black background, numerous red Tetris-like shapes fly in away from the screen and come together in the center to form a red cube, which then rotates into place, revealing a white "M". A flash appears behind it. The word "MILLENNIUM" unfolds underneath it, and "ENTERTAINMENT" fades in a few seconds later.
Variant:
- A still version exists, where the "M" is smaller and has a white aura behind it, and the text below is slightly spread out and is lighter weight. This version was used as a home video logo.
- A version without the cube also exists.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: None or the opening theme of the movie.
Availability: The still version is seen on DVD and Blu-Ray releases. The animated version is seen on films like Bernie and What Maisie Knew among others. Also seen on some foreign prints of Southern Comfort (1981).
