Background

Sanyo Bussan Co., Ltd. is a Japanese pachinko/pachislot company established in 1968. It is best known for the pachinko series Umi Monogatari ("Sea Story"), which has become one of the most popular pachinko series in Japan. Sanyo also manufactured several pachinko and pachislot machines for licensed anime and manga, including Saint Seiya, Patlabor, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, among others.

1st Logo (2006-20??)


Visuals: On a blue background, there is a red poker chip with "SANYO" inscribed. Next to it is the name "SANYO", with "CREATE THE WONDER" above it, both in white. The poker chip shines.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A female announcer says "Create the wonder, Sanyo!"

Availability: Appears on Sanyo-manufactured pachinko machines of the time, such as CR Super Umi Monogatari.


2nd Logo (20??- )

Visuals: On a white background, a CGI version of the poker chip (with "SANYO" in a different font) moves into view, facing up and close to the screen. It then zooms out and rotates, with the "SANYO" side facing the camera. The poker chip then turns 2D. The name "SANYO" in blue swivels in next to the poker chip letter-by-letter, followed by some Japanese text fading in below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A short synth tune, followed by a voice saying "SANYO!"

Availability: Appears on newer Sanyo pachinko machines. [Examples?]
