Background

15 ATV is a television station broadcasting to the island of Aruba, broadcasting on channel 15 on SETAR's cable TV system and VHF channel 8 on analog terrestrial television in the NTSC television standard. The station has the call sign of PJA-TV (following the standard in the Netherlands and Netherlands Antilles, with PJ call signs), though it goes by its branding of "ATV". The station is affiliated with the NBC television network, the only one not located in the United States (following the 2014 closure of VSB-TV in Bermuda), airing many American television programs for the tourists in the area, with programming from the network's flagship station WNBC in New York City during prime time and overnight hours. 15 ATV also broadcasts several local productions, including Noticia Awenochi, Time Out, Mesa Rondo, 15 on 15, Pulso Latino, Trend Alert, Stylish Living and live coverage of events and breaking news. 15 ATV's studios are located at Royal Plaza Mall in downtown Oranjestad.

1st Logo (2013- )

Nicknames: "Aruban ATV", "Aruban Peacock", "Aruban Peacock of Boredom"

Logo: Over a black background, we see Dutch text at the top that reads

Un produccion di
Aruba Broadcasting Company

(which translates to "A production of Aruba Broadcasting Company"). Below is the NBC peacock on top of ATV, and below is "© Copyrights [YEAR]". The NBC peacock zooms in a bit, then zooms out, leaving a "light shadow" effect behind it. Then, the company name does the same with the same effect, and both the peacock and company name do the same, this time slightly longer. Once the logo finishes, it zooms out a bit.

FX/SFX: The zooming and light shadow effect.

Music/Sounds: The iconic NBC jingle, which is for whatever reason distorted a bit and echoed. This specific version of the jingle is used as one of NBC's generic themes.

Availability: Seen at the end of programs from the said country.

Editor's Note: For an NBC affiliate, it's pretty dated, especially for the 2010s.

2nd Logo (2010s)

Logo: On a black background, we see the National Broadcasting Company's "Peacock", as well as text that says ATV in a font similar to that of NBC, text that says "Aruba Broadcasting Company", another text below it that says "A License by the National Broadcasting Company", & the Comcast/NBCUniversal Byline below it. The Peacock & the ATV text both move as the "ding" is heard, making white show behind those two.

Variant: Sometimes, there would be text above the Peacock that says "Un produccion di Aruba Broadcasting Network", & text below the Peacock that says "Copyrights [YEAR]".

FX/SFX: The Peacock & the ATV text both moving.

Music/Sounds: A bell ding 3 times, possibly a bit higher-pitched.

Avaiability: No longer current.

Editor's Note: This ID is certainly cheap, not to mention, they got the NBC Peacock (though NBC owns the company), making this one of the more cheap IDs, like TV Imperial, Connecticut Public Access 27, & Grupo Cidade.

3rd Logo (2020- )

Logo: On a black background with orange, red, purple, & blue lights, with the NBC Peacock hidden, we see the 3D NBC Peacock animating which then shines for less than a second. It then turns itself into the 2D NBC Peacock logo, while the text ATV as the same font as before sliding up below the Peacock. It stays still for 4 seconds.

FX/SFX: The opening effect, the Peacock forming, and the ATV text sliding up.

Music/Sounds: Same as before.

Avaiability: Current. It can be seen on current ATV programs since 2020.

Editor's Note: Although the sounds are still there, the logo is a huge improvement over the last logo.
