Background
3 Antena was a Brazilian pirate TV channel in 1990 that broadcast over-the-top shock content, political mockery, pornography and much more edgy and disturbing content as a way of mocking the mainstream media and the politicians of the time. People who were caught watching the channel in public were arrested.
(1990)
Logo:
- Intro: A colour test card appears, then a skull with an eye patch flashes different colours as a bongo theme plays before going back to the test card, then a bullet ricochet sound effect occurs and "3 Antena" is written and a hand doing the "OK" gesture flies onto the base of the number 3 as the them plays again, after going back to the test card, waving, flashing lines appear covered by the text "CANAL 8" as unintelligible words and laughter can be heard.
- Outro: A brown CRT TV can be seen getting zapped by lightning, starting the bongo theme, a row of coloured skulls move into the left side of the TV, a skull gets rotated, then a red skull bounces around inside the tube. The same laughter and unintelligible words from the intro occur followed by an explosion sound effect.
Technique: Unknown.
Music/Sounds: A bongo theme, stock sound effects.
Availability: Extinct. The channel did not last long as the government found it's content offensive and shut it down quickly. Only 2 broadcasts have been archived online, but it is not recommended to seek them out due to the shocking content.
