Background

A-Pix Entertainment was a low-budget video distributor and a subsidiary of Unapix Entertainment. The company folded in 2001, after its parent company filed for bankruptcy. The company's titles are now/were held by Allumination FilmWorks.

1st Logo (Early 1990s-1997)

Logo: On a white background, the blue text "A-PIX" with a bar underneath rises up. The text "ENTERTAINMENT" appears below.

Variant: On the beginning of tapes, it takes place on a light blue/dark blue gradient background.

FX/SFX: The text emerging from top to bottom.

Music/Sounds: A rising synth flourish, ending with a synthesized pulse. This is actually stock music from the royalty-free library "The Mix", owned by Sound Ideas.

Availability: Can be seen on releases from the company from the period, including My Brother's Wife.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (1997-2001)

Logo: On a black background with a sun in the center, a silver ball with a star shape in the middle zooms out. Then, a lowercase A zooms out as well. The text "A-PIX ENTERTAINMENT" appears below.

FX/SFX: Everything in decent CGI.

Music/Sounds: A majestic synth brass theme.

Availability: Can be seen on the company's releases from this period.

Editor's Note: None.
