Background

During the Argentina '78 World Cup, Canal 7 was the host broadcaster for said tournament. A consortium was set up known as Argentina 78 Televisora/Centro de Producción a Colores Buenos Aires and would handle the world feed for the tournament. However, broadcasts in color were aired internationally due to Argentina being stuck with black-and-white televisions at that time.
