Featured Media Nominations

Featured media are images and videos determined by the community to be significant, rare or otherwise interesting logo finds. These aren't your ordinary film, television or home video logos. Featured images appear in the gallery on the main page. On this page users can nominate images to be featured and vote on candidates to receive this distinction.

How to use this page:
Click "Nominate", fill out the fields and submit your nomination. Users will then be able to vote in support or opposition to the image being featured. if an image or video recieves at least a support:oppose ratio of 2:1 (two thirds majority), it passes and the proper template is added by a bureaucrat.

We discourage submitting logos solely based on its visuals. All media need to be significant to the community in terms of obscurity.

Reason: The short promo features Kaity Tong, Jack Cafferty, Sal Marchiano and Mr. G, Bob Tracey provides the voiceover, the music of the short promo is the 1997 version of WPIX Custom News Package by Non-Stop Music, this promo was shown during a December 31, 1997 commercial break of The Honeymooners on the WB11 (now PIX11) which can be seen here. The Jim Henson Legacy (Jim Henson - In His Own Words, 2007)

Reason: To shamelessly copy-paste the summary: here's something rare! We've known of this logo elsewhere, but this is an on-screen appearance. It appeared on a Vimeo upload of a Jim Henson documentary with only around 6 views. Its title is full of underscores, so I cannot actually ID its real title, but I believe it may be called Jim Henson: In His Own Words (NOT to be confused with the PBS documentary). Columbia TriStar Filmgesellschaft mbH (1991)

Reason: this really came out of nowhere since i initially thought i wouldn't get anything special but the end kinda hit me like a brick, though i did search for more columbia tristar german logos before this, so it's a very welcome surprise. From the end of a 35mm scan of a German print for "The Silence of the Lambs". Nickelodeon Shorts (1996)

Reason: This is only known to have been used on theatrical prints of the Hey Arnold! pilot before Harriet the Spy. The full version of the logo has yet to be found. More info here. Gilby1385 (talk) 15:58, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

Well I take that back. It pretty much looks like it's actually captured on television (going by the description, it was indeed captured from something.

Regie Cassette Video (1970)

Reason: The differences between the other are that the texts are entirely yellow (or white?), other than that, the TV tube is outlined and is drawn in, and the color flowing is simply now color crossfading. From a French VHS of Nous n'irons plus au bois (1970). (таʟк) 10:21, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

Reason: Found this on a German ad on ProSieben, October 24, 1994. The date of this thing predates the dates covered on the Samsung Electronics page, and the latter was only shown in Korea. Also, the color scheme is different and the whole thing is in English. I uploaded two videos: one for the commercial as a whole (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7IqhbMv6rc), and the other with just the logo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CV-JfSlm6ZQ). Reason: Yes, Buena Vista and GMTV. Who knew? I recall coming across this very logo on ClosingLogosHD's WDT/BVT compilation as a kid. Looking back, it looks like a rather unique logo, for a Buena Vista company. It's very puzzling too, since the show where this was found, Saturday Disney, was Australian, so the GMTV part here is rather interesting to come across.
