Featured Media Nominations
Shortcut:

Featured media are images and videos determined by the community to be significant, rare or otherwise interesting logo finds. These aren't your ordinary film, television or home video logos. Featured images appear in the gallery on the main page. On this page users can nominate images to be featured and vote on candidates to receive this distinction.

How to use this page:
Click "Nominate", fill out the fields and submit your nomination. Users will then be able to vote in support or opposition to the image being featured. if an image or video recieves at least a support:oppose ratio of 2:1 (two thirds majority), it passes and the proper template is added by a bureaucrat.

We discourage submitting logos solely based on its visuals. All media need to be significant to the community in terms of obscurity.

Etiquette:
Please remain civil while using this page. Per site rules and the policy, please refrain from personal attacks when discussing these images and assume good faith.

The Jim Henson Legacy (Jim Henson - In His Own Words, 2007)

Reason: To shamelessly copy-paste the summary: here's something rare! We've known of this logo elsewhere, but this is an on-screen appearance. It appeared on a Vimeo upload of a Jim Henson documentary with only around 6 views. Its title is full of underscores, so I cannot actually ID its real title, but I believe it may be called Jim Henson: In His Own Words (NOT to be confused with the PBS documentary). Columbia TriStar Filmgesellschaft mbH (1991)

Reason: this really came out of nowhere since i initially thought i wouldn't get anything special but the end kinda hit me like a brick, though i did search for more columbia tristar german logos before this, so it's a very welcome surprise. From the end of a 35mm scan of a German print for "The Silence of the Lambs". Thanks to muv for capturing this for me. about this scan: https://www.bookofthedead.ws/online_portfolio/br_35mm_movie_scans_blu-ray_box-set.html vid of logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekg3N9AUXLE Mr. Gann (talk) 01:26, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

Nickelodeon Shorts (1996)

Comment: This looks like something that would have appeared on a magazine instead of being a production logo/ident or something. Might have to double check... SetrkiDesu (talk) 02:51, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Well I take that back. It pretty much looks like it's actually captured on television (going by the description, it was indeed captured from something.

Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Animation (1932-1967, OP 1).jpeg

Reason: Recently discovered two weeks ago, this rare version of the WB7AA logo is taken from a print of Bosko's Dizzy Date. There is also two other images from that exact print. Rainbow Puppy (talk) 20:45, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

  2. Support It may just be a black-and-white variant, but it is a very rare one from a plastered 1930s Looney Tunes print I didn't know existed until now. AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 18:16, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. Oppose It's just a simple black and white variant. They are usually not interesting, especially if they are often known to be filmed. Camenati (talk) 21:53, 28 August 2023 (UTC)

Buena Vista International (2015)

Reason: i was just searching for some buena vista int combos and came across this thinking it'll be the same, but no, it's much different than i was expecting, even better is that i don't see other sightings of this. From the start of "Mænd & høns" or in its English title "Men & Chicken", whom it was captured from the Disney Blu-Ray release thanks to muv. vid of logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geMCCqPepB8 Mr. Gann (talk) 02:01, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

Regie Cassette Video (1970)

Reason: The differences between the other are that the texts are entirely yellow (or white?), other than that, the TV tube is outlined and is drawn in, and the color flowing is simply now color crossfading. From a French VHS of Nous n'irons plus au bois (1970). (таʟк) 10:21, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
