"Project:" namespace

This is mainly in response to the recent AVIDProjects implementation. Pages now have the title "AVID:AVIDProject", which is redundant in the sense that two AVIDs are placed next to each other in an awkward manner. Because of this, I am proposing a new namespace specifically for AVIDProjects, which is called either "Project", or "Project". This will eliminate redundancy and creates a more concise title for future AVIDProjects that are created. Additionally, I would like to request that AVID:AVIDProjects be renamed to simply AVID:Projects.

  7. Support the concept, but I’d suggest the new namespace be “AVIDProject”, e.g. “AVIDProject:Disney”. This avoids the issue Raidarr mentioned and it’s kinda what I imagined when this was suggested on Discord TBH. (Talk · Edits) 13:04, 2 May 2023 (UTC)

  1. Keep in mind that the Project space by default redirects to the AVID space. This is default MediaWiki behavior. You can see this dynamic here. It shouldn't be too hard to detach them but I'll try it on a personal wiki and see if there are any side effects to be considered. --Raidarr (talk) 15:51, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
