Captions are useful for distinguishing the normal logos from its variants as well as its occasional description of the latter's appearances. In my perspective, videos with the "{{YouTube}}" or "{{Vimeo}}" templates could benefit from captions more than images especially if multiple are embedded. Like the image gallery, the captions not only help distinguish each video's appearance, but also make one aspect of the galleries easier to navigate: audio/animation differences. If I want to watch a video in the YouTube gallery that contains an alternate song variant or one with a different sequence, it can be quite a hassle digging through each video since the thumbnails and sometimes titles do not describe the featured variant. The captions will be a solid solution to that issue.

Since the embed parameter for the aforementioned templates carry "id=, id2=, id3=, etc.", another one should be added specifically for captions (such as "desc=, desc2=, desc3=, etc." (desc is an abbreviation for description)) Camenati (talk) 01:37, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

Support

Support I vibe with this. (name change coming soon) 08:59, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

Support I mean, we do this with images already. It would only make sense to do this even without having to make an RfC for it, but I still support this. Metronome (talk) 15:30, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Oppose

Oppose I don't think I'm comfortable with this. 08:20 21 December 2022 (UTC)

What makes you not comfortable with it though? It would just be text underneath the video telling people what the variant is. Metronome (talk) 15:26, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Oppose OHHH!!! Now I'm comforable with it. 08:45 21 December 2022 (UTC)
