The wiki should possibly have social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

Support I kind of like the idea of it, and in case Twitter gets worse we could have something like IG or TikTok. But the point is, I support that we have a social media account, and in that account we could share tidbits of logo facts similar to how Wikipedia's Twitter account shares random facts. Support Originally voted "Strong Oppose", but I see this RFC has changed its goal to AVID having a social media account, not just that one social media platform we shouldn't touch until its current owner is gone. Abstain While the idea of an AVID twitter account would be pretty cool, what would we even do with it? I mean, outages and all that jazz go to the Miraheze twitter account. Oppose Twitter is a god-awful place at the moment, so I think it's safe to not go forward with setting our presence there. I suggest putting that strength onto Instagram instead since there is a better reach for a new audience than Twitter. 00:39, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

How would it cause drama or sockpuppets? Wikipedia has a Twitter account, and without it, I'd bet that they'd have the same amount of sockpuppets and vandals. --Blad (talk • contribs • global) 17:57, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
Oppose it is not really compulsory to have social media accounts, and I think it is a bad time to have one. Even without the disinformation problem, there is the problem with people being addicted to them, and I don't think AVID should make the addiction problem worse. --Pingu (talk) 16:09, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
