- I have been making a lot of goals and edit on the wiki for the previous few years, with myself improving as time goes by. Thus, I would like to be in the moderator role.

{{subst:request|Nova|Hello, I'm Nova. I initially joined AVID in 2020, but I wasn't... wise... to say the least. When I got back to editing in April 2022, I had matured significantly, and had made some significant contributions, such as:
- Suggesting the Legacy section
- Adding the 1998 Nikkatsu Corporation logo
- Debunking the existence of the supposed Central Park Media "Early Skyline" logo
and so on.
I feel that I should become a moderator, given that I could help new editors learn the basics, and help keep things under control whenever I can.
This is how I would handle things as a moderator, and all of this is what I would consider the suitable abilities of a moderator.| Nova (talk) (Logo not final) 12:50, 15 February 2023 (UTC)}}

- Hey guys, EMG here.
I've been an active member of AVID since 2017, and with this community having done so much for me, I feel like it's time for me to give back. As such, I'm officially applying for the Moderator role. While I may not be the most active on the site, I find that this is because much of what needs to be done is already being sorted out. Much of what I do has been helping the site staff on the Discord server. With moderator permissions, I see myself being able to move some of my work back to the site, helping the admins out more directly. Now, I'm sure there are some skeptics, citing my less than amazing behaviour in the past as a reason to not elect me, but I assure you, and members of the Discord server can concur, that I am working on myself, and I've become far better on this front. I'm continuing to work to better myself, and hope that my past doesn't affect my chances of joining the AVID staff. With this in mind, I see myself as a great fit for the moderator role.

- Hi, my name is Luke2505 and while I've only had this Miraheze account since September 2022, I've been on the Wiki since 2016 when I first registered on the Wikifoundry site.
In recent months I have taken on the role of Administrator on the AVID Discord Server and have proven myself as an effective member of the staff team, being able to moderate members in a fair manner while keeping myself down to earth with the community.
While I do not create new pages on the Wiki, I often contribute to the Wiki through uploading high quality logo captures, making sure files follow the correct file naming system and working on more niche pages so that they have the "big page" treatment. I also plan to hope to improve the user experience on this site going forward making it an enjoyable and safe space for everyone.
I see myself as a suitable candidate for a moderator position based on the points stated above. Luke2505 (talk) 12:24, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

- Hi. I am requesting to become a mod because I want to keep the site running and to play a part in the wiki. I think I could have this because: I have over 250 edits, I have only been warned once, and I helped the admins when THE PARKEE IS BACK sent a death threat to IAmThe789Guy, by telling them about it. I know I am just over the age restriction, but I still think I can do this. I know I will never get to the admin stage, but this is a first. If you turn me into a Mod, I won't let you down. Please consider this. I really want this opportunity. Please, let me have this responsibility. I'm out. Thx for reading! Sonicfan19198282 (talk) 13:01, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

- OK, I get it. You've put me down. I just don't know how to track socks or vandals. Now I'm sad. Sonicfan19198282 (talk) 21:23, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Ideally, you need to feel as if you are competent in your ability as a moderator before you apply. You managed to do one good thing - which was reporting to the admins when the Parkee incident went down - so this is already a good step in the right direction. Make sure you do more stuff like that in the future as well as contributing to the content of the site itself.
- Seeing as you say you're just over the age restriction means you've got plenty of time to perfect your abilities before you apply. Use the time wisely. Luke2505 (talk) 22:43, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Ok... Sonicfan19198282 (talk) 12:37, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- The key here is building a record of positive action. Something you can point to without any single incident being important because they all build you up. I'd also suggest being in contact with more people, such as existing mods/admins and having their feedback directly apply to you so you can work towards the expected standard. --Raidarr (talk) 22:43, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

- You know that on the RfC I said that I will not become a moderator, but I changed my mind and now I'm applying! You know that I have created some bad RfCs which were either a BIG mistake or an idea that I thought was good but you thought was bad. Also, I have reported a couple of users that have broken the rules and notified everyone about a fake video on the forums. I'm 15 and autistic so this may be a big role for me to take but I want to give it a crack and see how I can manage to have this new role! I have been on this wiki since April 20, 2021, and have done 399 edits according to Special:Editcount and this will be number 400. (Special:CentralAuth says 410 edits as that counts edits on deleted articles unlike Special:Editcount). So do you think I have what it takes to be a moderator? The reason why I want to become a mod is because I want to get my first shot at becoming a staff member before I reach 1000 edits to reach my goal of becoming an admin. I'm prepared to become a mod and I have been wanting to join the wiki's staff for most of the time I have been here!

- Oppose You didn't provide any reasoning as to why you should be a mod. Also, after re-reading it while giving my honest opinion, I can safely say I did not understand what you're trying to get at here. IAmThe789Guy (talk) 16:19, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

- Your additions haven't explained why you'd be a good choice for the role, you're just explaining that you want this. My position on the matter remains firm. (Lets chat!) 12:40, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose I notice you said " I want to give it a crack and see how I can manage to have this new role" and unfortunately this isn't really the way you wanna be going about things when you're asking for elevated powers on a Wiki such as AVID, even at the lowest level. You need to ensure you know how the site works and are confident in your ability as a moderator before you apply. Luke2505 (talk) 22:39, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- I know how this wiki works and I'm prepared and confident to have the powers. (Talk to Me!) 05:06, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- Done. I have added more info on why I should and want to become an admin, and I hope to get some support votes! (Talk to Me!) 05:11, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- Your reason provided to become a moderator is because you wanna be staff so it helps you get the admin hat. I wanna be staff so I can be staff and become higher staff isn't how it works. I would not suggest applying until you get clear reasons that pertain to the responsibility of the role. I do not think you have what it takes to be a moderator because you don't seem to know what it is about. Do not continue to edit to try and say what you think people want to hear: I would instead suggest you retract, figure out the fundamentals and get a stronger background before attempting to enter a staff role. --Raidarr (talk) 22:47, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
