Background

Abba Movies Company Limited was a film company from Hong Kong.

Logo (June 17, 2004-November 18, 2005)

Visuals: On a space background, a globe of the Earth rotates in the bottom right as lavender blocks are seen slowly moving across the corner of the screen. The globe then flies away off-screen, leaving the blocks to fly out and reveal themselves as the gold text "ABBA" in an abstract font, with stars in the A's holes and several stripes to the left of it, and it shines a lavender color. The logo starts off at a close-up appearance while tilted to the left, right before abruptly flying back and tilted towards the middle of the screen while resting at the top of the screen. A light then shines brightly to release a visible shockwave, letting the Art Deco-esque text "ABBA MOVIES" to shine as 2 sparkle comets fly about the screen, and the Chinese characters "雅柏電影" zoom out one-by-one below the text. Eventually, the sparkles collide with the logo, turning the "ABBA" text blue, the stripes red, and the text and stars white, and the stars in the background disappear.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A rising synth note plays before transitioning to a bouncy synth organ fanfare (not unlike the Walt Disney Mini Classics logo). A series of timpani drums finishes off the music.

Availability: Seen on Super Model, Dragon Reloaded, and SPL.
