Background

Angel Studios was a San Diego, California-based game developer founded in 1984 by Colombian entrepreneur Diego Angel. Originally providing animation and VFX services for film and television (most notably the 1992 New Line Cinema film The Lawnmower Man), the studio completed its first game in 1998. Their work on Midtown Madness for PC landed Angel a partnership with Take-Two's Rockstar Games label, which eventually resulted in the Midnight Club series. In November 2002, Take-Two acquired the studio and merged it into the Rockstar family under the San Diego banner, forming "Rockstar San Diego".

Availability: Only appeared on Mr. Bones for Sega Saturn.

Visuals: A purple spark is seen flying around as the name swings in. The angel, this time not blurred and the shadows purple, fades in as the spark reaches its hand. The same text "Interactive Entertainment" from before, but in a different font, wipes in from left to right.

3rd Logo (September 21, 2000-August 21, 2001)
