About me

Hi, my name is Chow Woon Gan. I'm Malaysian. I live in the city of Kluang, Johor.

I have my YouTube account to upload my own logo videos or other stuff, and my second channel will be used probably in late 2023 or 2024.

I started my logo interest in 2011, and that's why I come to AVID (Audiovisual Identity Database) in 22 September 2021.

And of course, my edits here were mostly film logos from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, and video game logos.

Pages I've created

In here you can see a list of my created pages here. This section will be updated every time I created a page. Please note that any pages that are separated from two or more company names in a page, renamed pages and category page additions do not count.

Total page creations: 99

  • Main logos: 92
  • Warning screens: 4
  • Availability pages: 3

Total page creations of 2021: 1 (because at the time my edits were mostly adding images to pages which don't have images, and I didn't know how to describe logos... but now I can.)

Total main logo page creations: 74

Total warning screen page creations: 4

Total page creations of 2023: 78

Total main logo page creations: 17 (currently ongoing)

Total availability page creations: 3 (currently ongoing)

Total page creations of 2024: 20 (currently ongoing)

Upcoming pages

This section encompasses pages I'm going to create soon, or later.

  • Buddy Film Creative Workshop
  • Dream Load Film
  • Sunwah Media Group Limited
  • Jumbo Plain Ltd.
  • Galaxy Films Limited
  • Tedpoly Films Limited
  • MediaQuest
  • Crown Film Co., Ltd.
  • Hong Kong Star X Media Limited

Favourite logos

  • BMA Films (2006-2007) - Even though this logo uses simple CGI, I still love this logo because it's so great at how the final result looks.
  • Bona Film Group - TBA.
  • Celestial Pictures (2nd logo) - This logo was always seen on old movies from Shaw Brothers Ltd., and I found it as my favourite logos all around, even when it aired on a TV channel called Celestial Classic Movies, in which the channel plays classic movies from Shaw Brothers with distribution from this company.
  • Distribution Workshop (2009-2018) - Well-animated CGI for a Hong Kong film company created by a Film Workshop creator make this one into my favourites.
  • EA HD - Ever since I'm a fan of the Need for Speed series, I have my Need for Speed: Carbon on my Xbox 360. Whenever I see that logo on TV while playing my favorite game, I totally love this logo more.
  • Film Workshop (2nd logo) - Pretty good CGI for the time, making this logo being so iconic, just like Shaw Brothers Ltd's 1958 logo.
  • Mei Ah Entertainment (2017-) - This logo was so amazing, and they used a re-orchestrated version of the 2nd logo theme. This made me list this logo as my 2nd favourite Hong Kong movie logos.
  • Rockstar Games (all logos of course, including its variants) - Because I'm a fan of Grand Theft Auto and the company's other games (such as Midnight Club) though. Three of my favourite GTA games I've played are GTA IV (played through my Xbox 360), GTA: Liberty City Stories (played through PSP via an emulator called PPSSPP on my phone) and most recently, GTA: San Andreas (played on my phone via APK).
  • Shaw Brothers Ltd. (1958-2011) - This logo was so iconic in the Hong Kong film industry and again, I love to see it here on a TV channel called Celestial Classic Movies.

I'll update this list later, so stick around.
