Background
Astro Fiesta was the first pop-up channel of the Astro satellite provider that broadcasted foreign movies and concerts, as well as prestigious events and special programs. The channel was launched on December 27, 2008 in standard definition, and transmitted until January 18, 2009. The channel would be relaunched two years and a day after its initial launch, and would transmit until January 6, 2011. The last time the channel was on air was on its third transmission from October 10 to December 31, 2016.
