Background

Azerbaijan Television, or AzTV (formerly Baku Television Studio), is the national television channel of Azerbaijan, headquartered in Baku. The channel was founded in the Azerbaijan SSR on February 1956.

1st Logo (1992-1998)

Logo: A small white 8-pointed star moves from the top right corner to the center of the screen, blinking as it does so. A white crescent appears on the left side of the star, then the colors of the Azerbaijani flag (blue, red and green in that order) wipe in from the left, leaving a gap between each bar and forming an upward fold on the right side of the crescent and star. Once the flag is formed, the star stops flashing and a TV tower rises on the left. Then, "AzTV" in gold zooms out from the left, placing itself underneath the right side of the flag.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic synth fanfare.
