Background
BNT1 (БНТ 1) is a Bulgarian-language public television station and the first channel of Bulgarian National Television founded in 1959. It began broadcasting on December 26 of the same year.
(1970s-1992)
Logo: On a black background, we see a white octagon with a shallow opening, containing an abstract "БТ" shaped like an antenna surrounded by "БЪЛГАРСКА•ТЕЛЕВИЗИЯ•" in the form of a ring. In front of the octagon, there is a weird line pattern with the colors of the Bulgarian flag rotating counter-clockwise, shaped like a camera focuser. Soon after, the "БТ" crossfades to the number "1".
Technique: Live-action.
Music/Sounds: A bombastic orchestral fanfare which then abruptly slows down to a somber flute theme.
Availability: Extinct on TV.
