Background

Beijing Beiying Audio & Video Corporation is a Chinese audiovisual company that publishes both records and music videos.

1st Logo (1995-2001)

Visuals: On a zooming dark blue-black space background, a gold line stretches in from the bottom and draws a curvy path resembling a tilted "N". A red print of a Chinese temple zooms out and stops in the middle of the path, splitting the latter in two. Simultaneously, "BYAV" scrolls from the left and stops on the bottom of the path. Then, the company name in 3D and gold flips in individually.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A retro horn/synth fanfare ("Moon Star" by Kitaro).

Availability: Appears on many VCDs across China, typically preceding the Golden Leopard Compact Disc Audio & Video Corporation logo. One of these releases include all episodes of Zhuo Yiting's Dreams.

2nd Logo (2000-2003)

Visuals: On a blue background, a bevelled, red, and smaller version of the logo from before is shown with a shadow. One side of the path is unfilled and just a red outline. Underneath it is the company name in a orange-gold-orange gradient color.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

3rd Logo (2003-2005)

Visuals: On a dark green cloudy background, the logo from before in 3D and with the text in gold zooms out. Initially, it is facing the left before turning to face the screen where four lens flares appear on the last four characters of the company name. The first of which, tinted gray, floats to the right, stopping at the second to last.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synth piano glissando ending with a glossy sound effect and wind ambience.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

4th Logo (2003-2007)

Visuals: A remake of the first logo, it is set to a black space background and the logo is more golden and shinier. The path and temple were also given a gold glow, the latter of which bursts light when it stops zooming.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A militaristic horn fanfare with loud whooshes.

Audio Variant: Sometimes, the main theme for the 1st logo plays.

Availability: Like the previous logos, this was seen on many VCDs from the mid 2000's ranging from karaoke videos to educational tapes such as Kindergarten Textbook Language 2.
