1st Logo (1981?-1989)

Logo: On a black background, we see a red star with the text "BEST FILM & VIDEO, CORP."on it coming from the left side of the screen and moves to the right side and then zooms in on the center of the screen, to clearly show the company name.

Technique: Basic zooming effects, possibly computerized.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be found on many earlier releases of videos such as Benji: Double Feature.

2nd Logo (1989-1993)

Logo: We see an outline of a golden star zooming out leaving a residue trail, then we see the blue text "BEST FILM VIDEO" in a funky-looking font zooms in to the star also leaving a residue trail.

Technique: Scanimate.

Music/Sounds: A dreamy-like piano piece.

Availability: Can be found on many very earlier releases of Marvel Comics-based cartoon videos. This was also spotted on Video Wars.

3rd Logo (Circa 1990)

Logo: On a black background, we see a slightly uneven-looking red star. The italicized yellow text BEST FILM & VIDEO CORPORATION slides in from the top of the screen and positions itself in the center in front of the star. After a few seconds, the text slides downward and the logo ends.

Variant: Sometimes it has the text reading "A BEST FILM & VIDEO CORPORATION PRESENTATION", and the animation is slightly different.

Technique: Basic computer animation effects.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be seen on the Beetle Bailey VHS "Sarge's Last Stand", and some Weapons of War tapes.

4th Logo (1993-1998)

Logo:

  • Opening: A blue star flies up to the middle of the screen and the words BEST FILM & VIDEO CORP., in white, appears across it. The background is a shot of Chicago, Illinois at sunset.
  • Closing: Same as the opening logo, only in the background are sped-up "action" scenes such as fireworks, a sunrise, and a highway.

Technique: Scanimate, placed over live-action footage.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be found on many earlier releases of Marvel Comics-based cartoon videos, and reprints of titles from Imperial Entertainment, among others. The opening variant appears on the restored VHS of El Cid and several Streamline dubs which BF&VC had the rights too.
