Background

CPHS-6 was the Port Huron Schools district's television station based in Port Huron, Michigan that was founded on February 27, 1986 with funding from Harron Communications and the state of Michigan and went on the air eight months later. On August 1, 1989, the channel moved from channel 12 to 6 to align with the cable system's various educational access channels. In the summer of 2015, the channel was renamed to Port Huron Schools Television.

1st Logo (September 27, 1986-1993)

Variants: Each year, the logo would change looks:

• 1986: Identical to the above logo except the top text is not stacked.
• 1988: The background consists of darker and lighter shades of blue whereas the top text and the logo have a black stroke and a red shadow, which is more further away. Plus, the copyright notice was expanded to read "(year) CPHS•12 PRODUCTIONS© PORT HURON AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT".
• August 1, 1989: The backround is gray with blue-colored bars on top. Starting this year, the channel is called "CPHS-6" and its logo in this variant is now turquoise with multiple blue-tinted shadows stacked on the top left. the rest of the text reads "This has been a presentation of" and "Port Huron Area School District Educational Access". A copyright notice of the same format as before is shown underneath with the same color as the logo.
• 1990: The background changed to blue and the top stripe is yellow with several thin lines on top and bottom in the same color. "CPHS-6" is white with its shadow in yellow whereas the rest of the text including the copyright notice is smaller and in said color. Plus, "Educational Access" was replaced with "AWARD•WINNING TELEVISION" in white.
• 1991: The background is gray and five stripes are colored (ascending) yellow, red, magenta, and yellow again. The "presentation" text isn't italicized and is in teal with a black shadow while the logo now has a green shadow. Plus, "AWARD-WINNING TELEVISION" and "Port Huron Area School District" swapped places.
• 1992: The coloring of the background has been inverted where the gray portions of it were changed to two purple stripes and a black one on the bottom whereas the rest is filled blue. The "presentation" section is italicized and, alongside the copyright notice, is colored orange. "CPHS-6" is now yellow, has a light blue trail and the two text underneath it are swapped around with them being reworded to "The Port Huron Area School District's AWARD WINNING TELEVISION STATION".
• 1993: On a green background with three black stripes comprised of many thin lines, four lighter green stars with a lime shadow are positioned on the top and bottom stripes and on the left and right sections of the screen. Also on the top stripe are five red triangle outlines: two are facing the right, the center one is downward, and the rest are facing left. The text itself in its entirely now reads

• On the 1989 Summer in the City video, if one looks closely, a small portion of the video footage can be seen on the right.

Technique: Computer graphics.

Audio: A seven-note descending synth tune that ends with a ding.

Availability:

• Back in the day, it used to be common as it would appear at the end of nearly every program on the channel, ranging from sports and concert specials to TV shows and special events. Nowadays, a few of these programs have been preserved by the network on their social media as well as through PHS-TV Rewind, which they seemingly don't do as of 2022.
• One of the first programs to use this logo was Haunted Halloween Hill and the latest so far was a Class of 1993 Senior Video from Port Huron High School.
• It was possibly seen on early episodes of Homework Hotline, which are not preserved by the channel as of 2022.

2nd Logo (December 17, 1993-1996?)

• 

Visuals: Inside a purple-orange checkerboard room, the 3D, stylish text "CPHS 6" is seen flying from the left center, a pair of red sunglasses moving from the bottom center to the bottom right, and a light green satellite dish, alreading on-screen, moving to the left and then towards the top. During this sequence, the following text fades in, with the final look appearing as so

After this formation, the satellite dish is seen rocking back and forth and a lens flare is flying from the top right and then towards the dish.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A funky tune that starts off dramatic and after short progression of strings, a sequence consisting of a keyboard and bass guitar plays. Otherwise, none.

Availability: Even less programs are known to use this logo and are in a similar position as before. The logo with its theme was seen on a 1993-94 blooper reel for Homework Hotline. It was also seen on the student video drama Sherwood Forest and the 1994 McDonald's When I Grow Up Contest.

3rd Logo (1997-2000?)

Visuals: On a black background, there are two stick figures: a gold male on the left and a pink female on the right. When a large light bursts and forms a ball full of letters, the stick figures begin dancing as the letters move from the top and bottom, rearranging themselves to form

When the text have been formed, the top and bottom-most text appears, reading "Port Huron Area School District" and "Harron Communication" respectively. Shortly after all of that appears, the figures gradually pick up the speed with their dance before stopping entirely.

Variant: There is reportedly a lost extended version where the girl's hair ends up falling out.

Technique: 2D animation, animated by Shelley Senyk on a Video Toaster.

Audio: A typical rock tune for most of the logo. Shortly after all the text appears, a short techno track plays, which ends with rewinding sounds.

Availability: Only two programs are known to use this logo: an October 1997 Life As We Know It! episode and the 1997 Port Huron Northern graduation ceremony.

4th Logo (2000 Port Huron High School Drum-a-thon variant) (July 7, 2000)

• 

Visuals: On a space background with purple cosmic dust and a large light burst in the right center as well as the text "This has been a presentation of" already formed, the stylish, white text "CPHS" fly from different sections of the screen to the bottom center. The letter "P", while in the middle of its sequence, spins around before landing in between the "C" and "H". Simultaneously, the light burst can be seen floating to the top. and then to the bottom left. After the text flies in, the number "6" zooms out and stops in between the top and bottom text where it proceeds to spin around. Underneath, the text "Adelphia" and "2000" scroll from the bottom left and right respectively. Lastly, four eighth-notes appear and shake left and right

Audio: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: Only seen on the 2000 Port Huron High School Drum-a-thon special. This was likely a custom logo solely intended for said program, given that the same look and assets from this were used for its opening title card.

5th Logo (CPHS-6: 20 Years Of Floating On Air variant) (2006)

• 

Visuals: On a picture of a school, the 3D text "This Has Been A Presentation OF" inside a black circle zooms out while the stacked, white text "CPHS 6" scrolls from the top. The circle proceeds to scroll down and flip, revealling an upside-down "C". As "(year)" slides from the right and bumps into the copyright notice, it bounces around, hitting the "6" underneath "CPHS", which was briefly wiggling during "2006"'s scrolling. The copyright notice then bumps into the left and rolls towards the copyright year, returning to normal.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A fast-paced and soft orchestral fanfare with a particular emphasis on pianos.

Availability: Only seen on the documentary CPHS-6: 20 Years Of Floating On Air.

6th Logo (2006?-April 24, 2015)

Visuals: Basically the number "6" with the text "Cable Port Huron Schools" and "Channel 6 wrapped around it in a circle with the copyright year on the bottom right fading in, all against a black background.

Variant: Sometimes, the copyright year may either be completely still or omitted.

Technique: 2D animation or just none.

Audio: None or the ending theme of the program.

Availability:

• Like with the first logo, this can be found on numerous sports, concerts, fine arts, special events, and even board meetings and mock trials from the late 2000's to early 2010's. This includes programs from their elementary, middle, and high schools such as Kimball Elemenary with its "I Remember Martin Luther King Jr." event, a May 27th Chippewa Middle School band concert, and Port Huron High School's many sports matches (excluding football).
• It was also briefly seen on a television set in the CPHS-6: 20 Years Of Floating On Air documentary.
• The logo was used in tandem with the next two logos, but would see less usage after being replaced by the 8th logo. In its last few years, it would only appear on short interviews such as Leaders At Garfield and other miscellaneous programs with one its final appearances being on the PHN Senior Citizen Brunch.

7th Logo (October 29, 2010-July 28, 2015)

Visuals: On a metallic bronze background, the black, white outline text "This Has Been A Presentation Of" is seen above "CPHS-6" and the copyright year in the same format as the top text.

Technique: Computer graphics.

Audio: None or the ending theme of the program.

Availability: It was used on certain programs, especially football matches from 2010 to 2014. It did make several appearances outside of sports such as adult graduations involving Harrison Center and the Port Huron Area School District, board meetings held during Summer 2015, and the 2015 Blue Water International Rotary Day Parade, which would be its last appearance before the channel rebranded itself.

Availability:

• It first appeared on an April 4, 2014 soccer match between Port Huron High School and South Lake High School albeit using the early variant. Every program that premiered in April 2014 used the early variant and a couple more from May and October had it, the latter of which only kept it on Port Huron Northern High School choir concerts.
• The regular variant debuted on a May 11, 2014 softball match between Port Huron Northern High School and Port Huron High School and was the main variant used starting the last two weeks of the 2013-14 school year, appearing on school assemblies and the Woodrow Wilson Elementary-produced The Nautical Experience. It also appeared on episodes of Sports Talk and The Eagala Model throughout the next school year.
• Its last appearance was on the 1965 Time Capsule video.
