Background

Canal 4 (Nueva Imagen, S.A.) is a state-run television channel in Nicaragua that is owned by Informativos de Televisión y Radio S.A. (Intrasa), a company owned by two sons of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Carlos Enrique "Tino" Ortega and his brother Daniel Edmundo. Daily transmissions began in 1992 after two years of experimental broadcasts.

ID (1992-2003)

Visuals: On a black background, a red vertical bar with a slanted end, along with two cyan bars, a yellow diagonal bar and trapezoid, a green horizontal bar and square, and a blue square and rectangle appear moving around towards the center and form a multi-colored, segmented "4" in a similar style to the 1982 Channel 4 ID.

Variants: There exists an extended version of the ident.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A Latin-style synth brass fanfare.

Audio Variant: The extended version has an ascending chime theme during the rest of the ID's duration.
