Background

Celador Films (originally known as Blue Films) was the feature film division of Celador that was originally founded in 1999. The unit went defunct in 2010, when Celador changed its name to CPL Productions a year ago.

(July 8, 2005-April 23, 2010)

Nicknames: "The Spinning Letters", "Celador Snake", "Drawing Letters"

Logo: Same as it's television counterpart, but "films" appears in white underneath "dor" with an aurora effect, and the background features ribbons of stylized filmstrips.

Variants:

  • An earlier version where there are no filmstrips and "films" was in the same style as "celador". Also the logo is still.
  • At the end of some films, "A Celador Films production" is above the "films" word after the logo finished.
  • On TV spots of Slumdog Millionaire, the logo is in a box beside the Warner Bros. Pictures, Film4, and Searchlight Pictures logos.

FX/SFX: The spinning letters.

Music/Sounds: A 7-note horn fanfare. The closing variant uses the ending theme of the movie or none.

Availability: Uncommon. Seen on Slumdog Millionaire, The Scouting Book for Boys and The Descent.

Editor's Note: None.
