1st Logo (1986-1988?) Chace Prods. (1980s) Nicknames: "CP"

Logo: On a blue background we see the text "STEREO CONVERSION BY" with a conjoined CP shape beneath it. Beneath the shape is the text "CHACE PRODUCTIONS INC." in a computerized font with "HOLLYWOOD, CA" below it. "100% MONO COMPATIBLE" is on the very bottom.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on older films that use Chace Surround Stereo, such as The Maltese Falcon.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (1987-) Chace Surround Sound (1980s- )Chace Surround StereoChace Surround Stereo

Logo: On a blue marble background, a silver, multi-lined figure, looking like a combination of a C and P (representing the name of the parent company, Chace Productions), is drawn in. It then zooms out and splits in two, moving toward opposite sides of the screen. Then, the words "CHACE SURROUND STEREO" in a futuristic font zoom in between. Both Chace logos shine with a ping.

Variants: Sometimes, the words "PRESENTED IN" appears above. Sometimes, that variant also has "WHERE AVAILABLE" below, respectively.

FX/SFX: The Chace logo drawing in, the text zoom-in; pretty good 1980s CG animation.

Music/Sounds: A calm three-note synth tune ending in two "pings", both increasing in pitch. One "ping" is directed towards the left speaker, the other towards the right, showing off its stereo capabilities.

Availability: Seen on certain videos and DVDs that employ Chace Surround Stereo. This logo is still in use today, particularly on some MPI Home Video releases.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (1998?-)

Logo: Over the ocean we see storm clouds with flashes of lightning. Then five chrome orbs fly over us one at a time. The 3D text "CHACE digital STEREO" rises out of the ocean, then a white mist appears around the text and disappear. The edgesChace Digital Stereo (2002) of the text "CHACE digital STEREO" shine lightly.

FX/SFX: The storm clouds rolling, lightning, flying orbs, mist, ocean waves rippling, and text shining.

Music/Sounds: Thunder, some whooshing/buzzing sounds as the orbs fly by, the ocean waves, and wind. A slight variant is heard on The THX Ultimate Demo Disc.

Availability: Common at the beginning of Anchor Bay DVD releases (namely THX-Certified ones). Also appears at the end of The THX Ultimate Demo Disc.
