Background

Channel 3, later known as Channel D, subtitled as "Independent Television Dublin", was a short lived pirate television station in Dublin, Ireland that broadcast from April to August of 1981.

Logo: A stylized capital D on a background of space and a star pattern with smaller dots of light travelling around it, text saying "Channel D Independent Television Dublin" in green scrolls along the bottom.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A stock upbeat horn fanfare, which was also used by Graffon Film Co..

Availability: The station only broadcast for about 5 months and there is little footage available.
