Background

Started by Richard Pepin and Joseph Merhi, who would later go on to start up PM Entertainment Group.

1st Logo (1980s)

Visuals: The logo for City Lights Home Video, which consists of the words

City Lights

fades in. A spotlight is shining on it, revealing a blue background behind the logo. The "City Lights" has lights modeled after skyscraper windows at night on it. After a few seconds, the logo fades out.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: The intro music of the movie on the tape.

Availability: Seen on releases from the company. An example of a tape that has this logo is a tape of The Killing Game.

2nd Logo (1990s)

Visuals: Superimposed on an image of the Chicago skyline at twilight, the logo for City Lights International, which consists of the words

(the "City Lights" has lights in it, and the "INTERNATIONAL" is in an orange box), fades in. After a few seconds, the logo fades out.
