Background

Cut/Off/Tail Pictures is a Nova Scotia-based production company led by Nancy Urich.

1st Logo (September 23, 2012)

Visuals: On a black background, a circular light red spiral with a thick ring at its core and with pink depth to its right spins and stops. A grayscale carpet-textured vignette later appears and slowly revolves around the logo before stopping. While that is happening, "CUT/OFF/TAIL" fades in below the logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A deep electronic ambiant note.

Availability: The logo is seen on Lowlife.

2nd Logo (September 19, 2015-)

Visuals: A black, flattened version of the spiral from before is within a white box with an inner thin black border. The text, also from before, is placed below.

Variant: On Tin Can, the logo is against a dimly lit grungy blue background.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The opening or closing theme of the film.

Availability: The logo is seen on Wind Through a Tree, The Crescent, and Tin Can.
