Background

Dolphin Production Company was an early computer animation company based in New York.

Logo (1974-1979)

Visuals: We fade in on a lime green circle with a dolphin outline inside it. As it leaps out, the screen zooms out to reveal the circle is part of the second "i" in "Dolphin Productions, inc.", which is set over a starfield background. The dolphin then lands in the "o".

Technique: Scanimate.

Audio: A slide whistle sound (which sounds like a police siren), promptly interrupted by an echoing electronic arpeggio, which gets quieter and quieter.

Availability: Seen on demo reels of Dolphin's work.
