Background
Aquaplus was formed in March 10th, 1994 by Shimokawa Naoya as U-Office, specializing in visual novel and video game music distribution. A brand, Leaf, was formed shortly after, specializing in the production of visual novels. Two years after, the company would change their name to Aqua, followed by Aquaplus in the following year. The company has been owned by CREST Inc. since 2023.
