Background

The Big Ten Conference is the oldest collegiate conference in NCAA Division I based in Rosemont, Illinois. It was founded in 1896 as the Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives.

Logo (2023-present)


Visuals: A 3D slab-serif "B" in white with the "1G" in light blue hovers over a wallpaper of white monochromatic college logos associated with the Big Ten Conference. The camera moves slowly from the near front to the bottom-left angle.

Trivia: The logo was designed by London-based firm Pentagram.

Variant: The wallpaper was updated to include the USC, UCLA, Oregon, and University of Washington logos in 2024 due to four teams leaving the Pac-12.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A dramatic and cinematic action tune accompanied by a deep male voiceover saying "The following is a presentation of the Big Ten Conference."

Availability: It can be seen at the beginning of college sports games from the Big Ten Conference, including NBC's Big Ten Saturday Night, the Big Ten on CBS, Fox Big Noon Saturday, etc.
