Background

CNN Films is the motion picture division of CNN, launched in 2012.

Logo (July 19, 2013-)

Visuals: On a flashing particle background with film reel squares moving, there is an red rectangle that's slowly turning. The CNN logo slowly fades in on the rectangle. As an flare appears, the logo shines. The camera quickly zooms out to reveal "FILMS" is placed on the right of the logo. The CNN logo moves like an film projector, and then stops. The logo shakes for a while.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Whirring noises, along with other sound effects. Otherwise, the opening theme of the movie or none.

Availability: Debuted on Blackfish, and has appeared on every film ever since.
