|
Visuals: On a map, a hand holds a postcard from Holland, in which windmills form an MTV logo. On a Paris postcard, MTV logos come out of the Eiffel Tower and the postcard zooms under it. London's postcard has a double decker bus with an "MTV ...Your TV" banner on it and a tidal wave. Last, a postcard from Australia has boomerangs flying around. The logo zooms into the postcard, and a boomerang is being thrown into space. The boomerang, with an MTV logo visible on it, flies towards the screen and freezes.

|
Visuals: The sequence starts with a close-up of a machine's number counter. A robot arm drops a ball into a tube to try and give a face on the bottom of it a pair of eyes. Eventually, the counter hits zero and the eyes make their way to the face. When the face looks up, he sees a television screen and smiles. The logo zooms into the screen to see a blue and green MTV logo on a pink background.
Technique: Hand drawn animation.
Audio: Metallic clanging; a beeping synth tune that reaches to a heroic sounding flourish at the end.

Visuals: There are two variants of this ID:
- The first ID involves a female conjoined twin climbing up the stairs carrying a paintbrush and two paint buckets, arguing. The left twin looks into the keyhole, which reveals a triangular room with a boy at the top in a fetal position with a lizard next to him. There is also a shadow of a window that turns with the MTV logo on it.
- The second ident shows a white bordered black sign with a black & white man in a 19th Century first class suit moving his arms as the camera zooms out. Next to that sign is a ladder. The next shot shows two lampposts, a traffic light, a yellow triangle sign that say "Yield" and 11 different black & white photos of people with the same amount of scissors. The scissors turn to face the left side of the screen and the photos change as the scissors fly offscreen. The scissors fly towards the man in the sign, who dodges all of them, ultimately shattering the scissors before he jumps out, revealing him in full color. The sign rolls up to show a green side with the MTV logo.
Technique: Stop-motion animation by Henry Selick.
Audio:
- 1st ID: A suspenseful organ theme with the girls saying "Come on!", "Out of my way!" and "Ow!", followed by howl-like sounds, a dog barking and a door creaking.
- 2nd ID: A high-pitched whistling sound, which changes to a 3 note horn piece and jet-engine whooshes. A crash, followed by sounds of falling metal and a muffled explosion are heard afterwards.

Technique: Stop-motion animation produced by Henry Selick.
Audio: A remix of the "One Small Step" theme.
