Background
Mega (known as Megavision before 2001) is a public Chilean channel which started broadcasting in 1990 on "Canal 9" (the defunct second and alternative signal of TVN). It is first privately owned television network in Chile. During its first years, was controled by CIECSA (affiliated to Grupo Claro) until it was sold to Bethia in 2011. In 2016 Bethia sold a 27.5% of the channel to Discovery Communications.
Megavision
1st ID (1990-1991)
Variants:
- A shorter and more common version where the last 10 seconds of the logo are used.
- Another ID consists on a space background, in it is a blue sphere on a corner, then the word "MEGAVISION" slides from the left. The Megavision logo fades above the words and eventually flies out of the scene, leaving a trail of the same colors of the logo.
Technique: Computer animation mixed with B-roll footage.
Audio: A computerized trumpet tune which sounds like a news opening.
2nd ID (1991-1993)
Variants:
- Later on, the ID is readjusted to match with the newer logo look.
- A cartoon variant exists. In it is some gears rotating, then another animation plays of a satellite flying over the Earth, as the screen zooms out (revealing to be a TV in blue table, with a blue-black gradient sky and some plants in the right) and appear a foot kicking a soccer ball, finally a saxophone appears generating some musical notes. As the animation fade out, the Megavision logo plays as normal in the TV, which finally fade out along the background, leaving only the logo which zooms towards the screen.

Audio: Depends on the variant. Each variant has an announcer saying "Megavision, estamos con usted" or "Esta es Red Televisiva Megavision".
- A calm synth tune in the original version.
- A weird, bouncy and sad R&B-esque tune in the later versions.
3rd ID (1992-1995)
Visuals: Unknown
Variant: Another series of IDs consists on a random video of the nature (in color or B/W) with a satellite in the bottom left. A rainbow beam is shot from the satellite, and the Megavision logo appear from below. These IDs look similar to the ATC IDs from 1993.

4th ID (1995-1997)
Visuals: On a cloudy background, the screen move to different views of 3 swinging bars colored red, green and blue. Finally the screen along the bars stop moving, showing the logo itself.

Mega
1st ID (December 2001-2003)
Visuals: Three light beams colored red, green and blue appear passing through the reversed letters "MEGA", which make these to flip. Once the letters appear in his correct appearance, the stripes (with the same colors of the light beams) appear in the next to the upper part of "A", and below the same letter appear one by one the words "SE VIVE".
Variants:
- A variant only consisted in the letters "MEGA" zooming one by one to the screen. Once all the letters are in the screen, the slogan "SE VIVE" appear below.
- Another variant consisted in the letters "MEGA", with the letter "E" inverted. A microphone with the Mega logo appear, touches the "E" (which causes this one to flip) and falls. The slogan appear below.
- Another variant consisted in the letters "MEGA" moving like a slot machine. The letters stop, forming "GAME" and moves again to form "MEGA". The slogan appear later.
- On Christmas, an special variant was used: The camera moves away, while we see several christmas ornaments on a tree (which appear taking the position of "A" in "MEGA". A star moves trought the screen, and the tree is replaced by the original "A". The letters appear more brighter and metallic than before.
