Background

Movieplex is a premium cable network owned by Starz Inc. Its primary focus is on showing an assortment of feature films from throughout the years. The network launched as Plex: Encore 1 in January 1, 1997, and soon gained its current name by the fall of that year. On June 8, 2004, a sister channel, Indieplex, was launched, followed by Retroplex in April 4, 2006.

Visuals: An array of colored transparent squares fly into frame. The camera then rotates around the squares, as they form a grid. The squares then rapidly spin around. The camera flies past the grid of squares, and quickly moves through a larger space with more squares floating in random areas. Afterwards, a gradient appears on screen, representing a floor. More colored squares fly to the floor, revealing "movieplex" below. After the text is formed, the trail of squares form a larger square, with four colors (clockwise: blue, green, yellow, red). Three beams that reach the top of the screen (pink, orange, and yellow respectively) appear behind the square and rotate downward.

Variants: A short version exists.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A liquid drum and bass track revolving around the Plex brand theme.
