Background
OutSide Directors Company (abbreviated as OSD) was a Japanese multimedia company founded in 1988 by Osamu Sato as Osamu Sato Design Office before being renamed in July 1989. The company produced several cult-classic video games and art projects during the 1990s, with the most notable examples being Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou and LSD: Dream Emulator.
By 2015, the company had ceased operations.
1st Logo (January-November 21, 1994)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a silver line under a rectangular box with the middle being shaded with a blocky "S" and two rectangles at the left and right punctured through it, which zooms towards the screen as it rotates clockwise. The box settles when it's close enough to the screen, and two blocky letters as 3D models fly in while rotating before settling inside the left and the right sections of the box respectively. Just before the letters settle, text reading "OUT SIDE DIRECTORS COMPANY LIMITED" zooms in and settles under the logo. Two more cuboids then fly in and settle between the shaded section of the logo.
Variant: On the Eastern Mind promo as seen on DIGMAG - Digital Magazine for Macintosh, the logo is still.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: None.
Audio Variants: On the aforementioned Eastern Mind promo, the game's theme plays over the still variant.
Availability: Seen on the PC & Mac game Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou, the VHS Compu Movie and the VCD The Esoteric Retina.
2nd Logo (October 21, 1995-March 14, 1997)

Visuals: A white light fades in at the middle of a black background and takes up the entire screen. Then, a 3D model of the OutSide Directors Company print logo emerges from the background as the background turns black and the logo turns into a static 2D image. After a few seconds, the logo explodes into many pieces as it emits a light ring.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A long, rising beam noise, followed by a roaring explosion-like sound.
Availability: Seen on Chu-Teng. It also exists as an unused FMV in Rolypolys no Nanakorobi Yaoki.
3rd Logo (March 14-November 21, 1997)
Visuals:
Variant: A still variant of the final product is seen on the game's sequel, Bana Bana Ichi-gō: Rolypolys no Sekai Daibōken.
Technique: CGI for Rolypolys no Nanakorobi Yaoki. A still, digital graphic for Bana Bana Ichi-gō: Rolypolys no Sekai Daibōken.
Audio:
Audio Variant: For the still variant, none.
Availability: The animated variant only appeared on Rolypolys no Nanakorobi Yaoki, while the still variant appeared on Bana Bana Ichi-gō: Rolypolys no Sekai Daibōken.
4th Logo (October 22, 1998-March 9, 2000)
Visuals:
- October 22, 1998-August 26, 1999: Just the OutSide Directors Company print logo in white on a black background.
- March 9, 2000: Same as before, but the letters of the logo have been altered to look more abstract.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None.
Availability: The original version appeared on LSD: Dream Emulator and Tokyo Wakusei Planetokio, while the later version appeared on Rhythm 'n' Face.
