Background
The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations is a trust created in 1952 by Arthur Vining Davis in Arvida, Quebec to provide financial assistance to educational, religious, cultural, and scientific institutions. The company has also provided funding for numerous PBS programs.
1st Logo (1980's-2006)
Visuals: On a blue gradient background is the glassy text:

Variants: On later episodes of Reading Rainbow, he logo is on a dark blue silk background.
Technique: Cel animation. A still digital graphic for the later variant.
