DreamWorks Interactive/Logo Variations

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

These are the logo variations used throughout the years by DreamWorks Interactive (later known as EA Los Angeles and Danger Close Games).

Goosebumps series:

  • Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland (1996, Microsoft Windows): The crescent moon crossfades to a full moon, followed by the rest of the logo fading to a night sky.
  • Goosebumps: Revenge of the Mutant (1997, Microsoft Windows): The moon and boy fade out, along with the text, to reveal the Scholastic Productions logo set in the DreamWorks font.

Dilbert's Desktop Games (1997, Microsoft Windows):

  • Dilbert zooms by on a spacecraft and takes the boy's fishing pole, causing the boy to exclaim "Hey!". The logo then fades into the Cyclops Software logo.
    • Note that this variant only appears within the game's files and isn't actually seen when starting it up.

Jurassic Park series:

  • The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997, PlayStation): The camera zooms in, and the boy manages to get a bite. He says "Got something!" before a Velociraptor (off-screen) screeches while violently pulling him off the moon to his implied doom.

  • Jurassic Park: Trespasser (1998, Microsoft Windows): The standard DreamWorks logo, but the ending features the word "INTERACTIVE" below in place of "SKG".

Small Soldiers (1998, PlayStation):

  • The camera zooms in, and the Commando Elite climbs up the boy's fishing rod. They throw the boy off the moon, while Chip Hazard shouts, "Commandos, lets open up a big can of whoopass!" The line is connected to a screen with the Small Soldiers logo.

T'ai Fu: Wrath Of The Tiger (1999, PlayStation):

  • A white silhouette of a Chinese dragon (likely representing the Dragon Master) quickly flies by in front of and behind the boy before it flies through and destroys the logo's text, taking the surprised boy off the moon with it. T'ai Fu jumps onto onto the moon and looks left and right, with the game's logo transitioning in.

Medal Of Honor series:

  • Medal Of Honor (1999, PlayStation): The camera zooms in, and then the boy throws his fishing pole, which reveals a parachute bag on him. He puts on an army cap and yells, "Geronimo!" before jumping off the moon and pulling the string on his bag, resulting in a parachute to come out of it. However, the end of the parachute gets stuck on the moon, and the boy exclaims "Hey!".

  • Medal Of Honor: Underground (2000, PlayStation): Same as above, but with a majestic fanfare. Instead of the parachute coming out, it malfunctions, so the boy's belongings fall out and his army hat falls off. He holds on to the moon as the majestic fanfare segues into the usual 7-note horn sounder, and gets knocked on the head with his hat, causing the moon to tilt. He lets out a "Phew!" in relief.
