Background
The company started out as HiCom, a game distributor for Sega Master System and Famicom titles. In 1994 they would begin game development for game consoles and computer titles, including the Corum series. The company fell victim to the IMF financial crisis of 1998 however, but reformed as HiCom Entertainment. In 1999 the company was bought by investor Wise Naeil and was renamed briefly to Wise HiCom. The company would then pursue to the development of MMORPGs and renamed to eSoftNet in December of that year. The company closed doors on 2004, with each of their MMOs being managed by other companies and former staff.
