Background

Epic Home Video was the home video division of Epic Productions. The company never officially distributed any tapes; their logo was instead mainly used on trailers of their releases, which were generally distributed by Columbia TriStar Home Video.

1st logo (1990-1991)

Visuals: On a black background, a weird thing zooms up to the viewer, as it spreads out, it shows a line and the word "EPIC". Then, "H O M E--V I D E O" appears in a spread out font.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Found on a trailer of Robot Jox, which can be found on a promotional screener VHS of Bullseye, and a trailer of The Crawlers, which is found on a VHS of Larry Cohen's The Ambulance. The VHS of Robot Jox itself also has this preceding a trailer for Arena.
