Background

FACE (フェイス) was a company that was originally formed in the mid-1980s to produce game production, starting with arcade games, and later expanded to TurboGrafx-16 and other platforms. It went defunct around the 1990s.

1st Logo (March 1, 1989-November 5, 1998)

Visuals: On the bottom of the game's title screen, there is the text "FACE" in a bolded sans-serif font in blue.

Technique: None. [possible misuse]

Audio: None or the theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on TurboGrafx-16 and arcade titles by the company, such as Honey in the Sky and Nostradamus.

2nd Logo (January 17, 1997-November 5, 1998)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the previous FACE logo quickly zooms and flips out via trail effect, and settles to the center and becomes 2D.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen only on Money Idol Exchanger for arcade and PlayStation.

3rd Logo (August 29, 1997)

Visuals: On a white background, there is the still FACE logo from the previous two, now in gray.

Technique: None. [possible misuse]

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen only on Money Idol Exchanger for Game Boy.
