Background
FHE Pictures was a division of Artisan Entertainment, named after Family Home Entertainment. Its purpose was to theatrically distribute feature films aimed at kids and families. The company released one film, 2002's Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie, which was reviewed well and was a modest box office hit. The company planned to release more films in the future, but all productions were halted when they were bought out by Lionsgate on December 15, 2003. Supposedly, FHE Pictures was overhauled into Lionsgate Films' family film arm.
