Background

These are the IDs used by the Family Channel, launched on September 1, 1988.

1st Logo (September 1, 1988-1997)

Logo: On a sky blue background, a yellow sun draws in on the right. Above the sun, blue rectangle draws in. Below that, a red rectangle draws in on the left. After that, the word "Family" in script and in blue draws in below. The word "Channel" fades in below "Family" in a Times New Roman font.

FX/SFX: The drawing effects.

Music/Sounds: A fun tune with the announcer saying "You're watching Family Channel, Canada's Family Network." Sometimes the announcer says "You're watching Family Channel, television the whole family can share together."

Availability: Extinct, outside of tape trading.

2nd Logo (1997-1999)

Logo: TBA.

FX/SFX: TBA.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Extinct.

3rd Logo (1999-2011)

Logo: Depends on the variant.

Availability: Extinct, outside of tape trading. This was made to fit the launch of the HD simulcast.

Legacy: This was made to fit the rebranding, but would be discontinued in favor of the next logo below.
